LOCATION
Bangka island located in
west of South Sumatra, and in east of Belitung island. The island consists of
the marsh, fen, and hills. There is a dense forest at hilltop, while the marsh

to other that’s gently sloping white sandy beaches decorated with expanse of
granite.
HOW TO GET THERE
From Jakarta, the
easiest way to get to Bangka Island is by plane. There are several daily
flights from Lion Air, Sriwijaya Air and Batavia Air departing from Soekarno
Hatta Airport directly to Depati Amin Airport in Pangkalpinang, Bangka. Flight
will take approximately 45 minutes.
You can also use the
sea route by ship from the port of Tanjung Priok, Jakarta heading to
Pangkalbalam port. The journey will take about 24 hours.
ATTRACTION
Parai Tenggiri Beach
A very popular tourist
attraction with cleanliness and good area arrangement. The location is about 40
km from Pangkalpinang. Parai Tenggiri is the most beautiful beach in Bangka
Island with character of wavelet and a sloping surface. Parai Tenggiri has
exotic panorama with a stretch of granite. As with other Bangka beach, Parai Tenggiri
also have a large granite rocks in a variety of unique shapes and numerous.
Beautiful views of
beach can be found when climbing granite rocks, presenting you the beauty of
South China Sea. There are many interesting activities to do, including banana
boat, parasailing, to snorkel in Parai Tenggiri.
Additionally, if you
like fishing, fishing boat rentals are available complete with crockery. This
tourist attraction also equipped with complete accommodation facilities.
Matras Beach
This place is quite
unique because it likes divided into two zones, northern zone and southern zone.
Northern zone has white sand and southern zones form a cluster of beautiful
rocks. The other name of this spot is paradise beach. This name is very worthy,
because it offers very beautiful panorama.
Matras beach is
longest white sand beach in Bangka Island along the 3 km with coconut trees and
natural river flow on the background. It’s located near Parai Tenggiri beach,
about 40 km from Pangkalpinang. This spot is the most visited beach by
tourists.
Tirta Tapta Pemali (Thermal Baths)
This tourist
destination is quite old and found from the Dutch colonial era. Soaking in a
hot water is very beneficial for your skin’s health. Sulfur content with a
distinctive smell is a substance that is able to refresh your body from
fatigue. This object is quite easily to reach, which is about 20 km from
Sungailiat city. What's interesting about this place is arrangements of the
pools are like a modern waterpark.
Tanjung Pesona Beach
Tanjung Pesona Beach is
one of favorite tourist attractions in Bangka Island. It only takes about 15
minutes to reach from Sungailiat or 45 minutes from Pangkalpinang. This
beautiful area also offers the charm of granite rocks scattered. Moreover, added
with exotic and unique bridge pier, made the atmosphere more beautiful.
In addition, various
games and water sports also increase the attractiveness of tourist attractions
on Tanjung Pesona. You can ride canoe, banana boat, Jet Ski, swimming, playing sand
and fishing.
Tikus Beach
Tikus beach is a beach
on Bangka Island that still quite naturally, quite awake from human hands interference.

On the top of hill,

green trees in coastal areas and the existence of four islands lined
beautifully.
One of Bangka’s tourist
destinations has a calm sea waves. Therefore, swimming and playing on the beach

Penyusuk, you can rent a fishing boat with a capacity up to 10 people.
The most favorite
island to be visited is Lampu Island because there is a lighthouse. This is
where many tourists spend their time swimming and playing with sea water.
Penyak Beach
This is one of beaches
in Bangka Island with longest coastline, reaching up to 3 km. Penyak beach has
a charm on surfaces that sloping and is right on the edge of highway. That’s why
this tourist attraction often used as a rest and relax place for those who are
on the way or become hang out place.
On holidays and
weekends, beach area always visited by many tourists to enjoy panorama and
playing on beach. Enjoying coconut water is another way that often do by
tourists in Penyak.
Pasir Padi Beach
Pasir Padi Beach is about
7 km from Pangkalpinang city. This is the closest beach if you have arrived from
Pangkalpinang airport. This tourist attraction is the most famous in Bangka
Island.
Pasir Padi have sand
that resembles grains of rice, that is why this beach named Pasir Padi which mean
in English are sand of rice. In area around the beach, there are complete public
facilities available. Star hotels, restaurants, until food stalls are
available.
