Bromo Tengger Semeru National
Park is one of major tourist destinations in East Java. For anyone who has a

Tengger caldera
In area of Mount Tengger, there is a
very wide caldera with a diameter of 8-10 km and the walls of caldera

Widodaren, Mount Watangan and Mount Kursi.
Mount Bromo
Mount Bromo, an active

Mount Widodaren
Widodaren Mountain
located next to Mount Batok, and is a tourist attraction that can be visited
while in Bromo
Tengger Semeru National Park. The main attraction of this tourist spot is
sacred spring, located below the cave around the mountain.
In Widodaren cave, there is a fairly extensive and a large stone used for ceremonies or some kind of altar to place offerings. Tengger people also often use this stone to meditate or pray to their God.
On this sacred spring,
local people believe that source of this water will never dry all the time. In
addition, the surrounding people believe that water from these sources could
make young and provide a mate for those who are single.
Mount Penanjakan
Penanjakan mountain is
one of mountains in Bromo
Tengger Semeru National Park at an altitude of 2,770 M. Mount Penanjakan can be
accessed from Tosari village or Wonokitri village. Visitors can rent a Jeep for
commuting to Penanjakan and then to Bromo. After reaching the mountain,
visitors have to walk for 15 minutes because roads are narrow and lack of
parking spaces at the top of mountain.
Mount Penanjakan known
as the best spot to see Tengger caldera. Due to extremely cold temperatures,
visitors are advised to bring appropriate clothing when visiting this area.
However, if they do not bring a coat or jacket, there is a rental for jackets
and sweaters in surrounding area.
Ranu Pane
Ranu means Lake in
local language. Around this National Park there is a lake that is located
between the conservation area that is Ranu Pane.
From this place we can
see Mount Semeru which stands majestically with caldera around the crater.
There are Home stay, villas and cottages in the middle of village provided for tourists
who want to rest while enjoying the magnificent view.
Ranu Regulo
This National Park
also has a beautiful hidden lake located close to Ranu Pane, namely Ranu
Regulo.

you because this place is easily accessible without having to climb like Ranu
Kumbolo. The silence of this place and fresh air will provide refresher effects

Ranu Kumbolo
Ranu Kumbolo already
famous for its beauty since long ago, climbers from around the world has
acknowledged its beauty. Has the same beautiful scenery with Ranu Pane and Ranu
Regulo, Ranu Kumbolo has a larger area than the two previous lakes.

Ranu Kumbolo is a place to prepare for your adventure. Ranu Kumbolo also
provides a hut for hikers and camp area. Also, there is an ancient monument
that stands in Ranu Kumbolo.

Mount Bromo Savanna

to be passed by, but for those who like a challenge will always be eager to
conquer Mahameru. Tourists who want to go to Semeru can start their trip from
Ranu Pane.
ATTRACTION
Enjoy Sunrise
One of potential in
Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park is when dawn is breaking and tourists can
enjoy beautiful sunrise at the peak of Mount Bromo, Penanjakan peak or in some
other spots around this location. To see sunrise visitors should come early in
the morning to Mount Penanjakan. I would be advised to arrive there around
03:30 to 4:00 in order not to miss beautiful sunrise.
For other tourists who
want to enjoy the sunrise from Mount Bromo, it is advisable to get to
Cemorolawang at night or early morning, around 3:30 to 4:00. At the peak of
Bromo tourists can see sunrise from beautiful hill.

to see beautiful sunrise in morning, you can come to enjoy exotic Bromo and the
surrounding mountains. As you know, Bromo is a popular mountain in East Java
and most bring visits each year, from both local and international tourists.

enjoying natural beauty around National Park, you can spend the night. The
location commonly used for camping is in Cemorolawang, Nongkojajar, Ranu Pati, Ranu
Kumbolo, Ranu Darungan and in several other beautiful spots.
ACCESS
Bromo Tengger Semeru
National Park can be reached by own car or public transportation from Surabaya
or Malang. As this destination is already very well known, the access to these
places can be reached easily.
If you come by plane,
you can landed at Juanda airport Surabaya or Malang airport that is closer to
the destination. Next, you can go to National Park by car.
